Inheritance and legacy are pivotal elements of family dynamics, bridging generations and shaping the future. When navigating the complexities of family history and estate planning, it’s essential to approach these topics thoughtfully, as they impact not only the present but future generations as well.

Recognizing the challenges faced by executors, I integrated Modern Executor Coaching into the services offered by Family Branch and Root. My mission is to replace the confusion and frustration often experienced during probate with clarity, compassion, and confidence—long before a loved one passes away.

After decades as an estate accountant, witnessing firsthand the chaos and conflict in probate, I saw the need for change. Traditional estate planning often appoints executors unprepared for their roles, and many are unaware of their responsibilities until it’s too late. I asked myself, “How can we make this process smoother and more effective?”

In today’s world, executors face unprecedented challenges—from managing digital assets to balancing other commitments. These issues can lead to family strife and even litigation. After seeking answers and finding none, I discovered the Certified Executor Advising program in Canada. I now proudly hold certifications as a Certified Executor Advisor and Certified Personal Fiduciary, becoming the first U.S. graduate offering expert guidance to help families navigate these modern complexities.

Our focus at Family Branch and Root is to guide families through the emotional and personal aspects of estate planning, helping them make informed decisions with compassion and care. We don’t replace legal advisors, but we help reduce the emotional overwhelm and conflict that often arise.

Alongside my professional expertise, I graduated summa cum laude with a higher education degree in psychology; received a genealogy certification; and have a passion for learning—whether it’s floral design (with five certificates in Ikebana and Oshibana) or tackling outdoor challenges like skydiving to conquer my fear of heights. My varied interests reflect my love for life, learning, and helping others navigate their own unique journeys.
